05/13/13

Today I had to take my AP physics test so I did not get very much done. That being said, over the past weekend I filmed a few shots that I will integrate into the music video and experimented with a particle generator inside of after effects. Originally I was going to film everything to keep a natural look, however the dslr Ive been using is not that great when filming and blowing those images up. They look grainy and strobe especially in low light. So, I am setting up a picture of a blurred light (bokeh) as a particle, then controlling the physics, colors, and number artificially on the computer. This takes slightly longer to create, a lot longer to render, but the good thing is I can control it in 3d space, something that will greatly improve the look of the video. And, this is something I can do at home; creating and rendering the clips at night and then bringing them in the next morning to integrate with the rest of the footage

I had to drape a black sheet over the bed and some of the dresser so the vinyl wouldn't reflect it
