As with any project, as time goes on it changes. Priorities shift, visions change, complications arise. My original idea was to do a short film, silent, black and white, and with 16 millimeter film. But the cost of film and the time it takes to develop may prove to be too large of an obstacle down the line to complete the project in the three weeks at the end of the year. Perhaps this was an overly ambitious, half-baked idea. But then again, isn't every independent movie? But for fear of not being able to complete this project by the deadline (and not being able to graduate!) I reevaluated the whole situation and now am leaning more in the direction of doing a music video. After all it requires directing, working with "actors," and having a particular visual style. Best of all, sound is something to not be worried about because that's what the music is for. One thing about music videos is there is a lot of editing that goes into it– it seems like thats where most of the energy goes, which is perfect for me because I love walling myself in a room, working with photoshop and final cut, downing energy drinks, and losing track of when the sun is up
