Here are some tests i was playing around with for the look in photoshop.

Above is an example of the tonality I wanted to achieve with the black and white images

And here I superimposed a paper heart, an idea i had to possibly incorporate animation into the mix

This image with water overlayed looks pretty crappy but it was just to materialize an idea i had of projecting  images onto the band while they played

And here is the final of something I was playing around with. This i just did using an image from google of Sami and some random stock images. I was really proud of this one and like the final look of it, desaturating the original and incorporating some glowing colored lights. If this was on video though, all the lights and bright spots on her would be shifting and changing. I also really like this particular image because of the color palette; the intense candy colored circles match the pop style of their music. Plus the high contrast black and white part was an idea i had from the beginning, like they're singing in the night and the microphone stand along with everything else just kind of disappears into a void

But no matter what I want to keep the look natural without using any computer generated effects; all footage would be real footage
